All of Traveland RV Rental's units are current, top-of-the-line units just like a customer would get if they ordered it direct from the factory. Traveland RV Rentals Ltd Rental TermsPLEASE NOTE THESE VEHICLES CANNOT BE RENTED BY RESIDENTS OF BRITISH COLUMBIA. PLEASE BOOK UNDER THE DOMESTIC PROGRAM.
A non-refundable deposit will be taken from your nominated credit card at time of booking confirmation. This percentage of the total fees will vary depending on the number of days your booking is placed before travel commencement. The balance payment due will be deducted from your nominated credit card 37 days prior to the commencement of your rental. Please ensure there are sufficient funds available on your credit card card.
If you are booking within 37 days of travel the entire cost of the rental will be transacted from your nominated credit card at time of booking confirmation.
Note on foreign currency bookings: full balance of payment (including the deposit) will be collected at the time of confirmation if you have elected to process your booking in a currency different to CAD$.
Some charges may be payable directly to your rental station upon arrival, these will be itemised as such in your breakdown of pricing if and where applicable. All changes and cancellation charges are subject to taxes. At the time of a rental motorhome pick-up, clients must leave a security deposit on Visa or Mastercard; no cash deposits will be accepted. The amount of the security deposit will be $600.00. The amount will be charged to the client’s credit card on day of vehicle pick-up and reimbursed on day of vehicle drop-off, less any incurred charges (extra km driven, damage, etc)
We strongly recommend that clients ensure they take out the highest level of Travel Insurance. In many cases this will cover any losses incurred if you are forced to cancel your booking.
Please note that during winter season (usually from 01 October but possibly earlier), the vehicles will most likely be winterized, depending on weather conditions. This means that all water will be drained from the vehicle and replaced with anti-freeze liquid. This means that there will be no access to the sink, toilet or shower.
At the time of a rental motorhome pick-up, clients must leave a security/insurance deposit on Visa or MasterCard; no American express, direct debit card, nor cash deposits will be accepted. The amount of the security deposit will be $600.00. The amount will be charged to the client’s credit card on day of vehicle pick-up and reimbursed on day of vehicle drop-off, less any incurred charges (extra km driven, damage, cleanliness etc.). Traveland is not responsible for any currency loss due to the exchange rate at time of charge and credit.
Vacation Interruption Protection
In case of mechanical breakdown (vehicle does not drive anymore), Traveland will pay for a rental car and hotel for up to CAD 250.00 per day, maximum of 3 days. Group travel excluded!
Important: Receipts must be presented at drop-off. Mechanical breakdown does not include malfunction of the radio, CD/DVD, television, air conditioner(s), generator, refrigerator, cruise control or breakdown due to accident, whether or not the Renter is at fault. VIP Package applies only if mechanical breakdown requires the vehicle to be repaired more than 12 hours after it is reported to the rental station. Traveland is not responsible for any additional refund over and above $250/day per vehicle – If mechanically broken down, meaning vehicle is not drivable. Included expenses can consist of hotel charges, car rental or any other incidental or consequential costs.
The insurance does not cover if a claim is directly or indirectly a result of one or more of the following:
• Operation of the vehicle in violation of the Agreement Conditions.
• Any event that occurs while the driver is under the influence of illicit drugs or alcohol.
• Transporting contraband or illegal trade.
• Carrying more than the maximum permitted number of passengers.
• Customer has given false information regarding his/her person.
• Driver has not been listed in the contract (copy of driver’s license) or does not possess a valid driver`s license
• Damage due to intentional acts by any member of the group or any guest.
• Damage caused by the use of incorrect fuel type.
• Failure to maintain fluid levels.
• Damage caused by overheating / freezing of any vehicle system
FOR ALL ACCIDENTS, ACTS OF VANDALISM, THEFT OR FIRE, A POLICE REPORT MUST BE FILED.
THE RENTER MUST UNDERSTAND AND ACCEPT (SIGN AT PICK-UP) THE INSURANCE COVERAGE.
In the event of damage to optional equipment, such as bikes, customer will be charged the amount needed to fix the damage or replace the broken item.
2. PREPARATION FEE
The preparation fee of $100.00 includes first tank of propane, first set of toilet chemicals and first set of biodegradable toilet paper and kitchen equipment.
*Note: Tableware provided for 4-8 people depending on size of motorhome.
NO CHARGE STANDARD EQUIPMENT: Water hose, sewer hose, flash light, screw driver, pliers, basic first aid kit, fridge level, tools, leveling blocks, matches and scissors. Road maps and campground information available at rental station.
3. PERSONAL CAMPING KIT RENTAL
Personal camping kits are $95.00 per person and include: Duvet, sheets, pillow & pillow cases, bath towels (2), hand towels (2), face cloths (2), bath mat (1) and lawn chair (1).
4. EXTRA RENTAL EQUIPMENT
Reservations are accepted and recommended for optional equipment. Traveland also has a fully stocked Recreational Vehicle and Camping Equipment store for items you may wish to purchase.
Sorry, NO pets are allowed in any of our motorhomes. Cleaning fees of up to $1000.00 will apply if pet hair & dander is detected, since this is an allergen that affects many people.
Absolutely NO SMOKING is allowed in the motorhome, truck, trailer of Fifth Wheel. All our vehicles are NON-SMOKING units and applicable charges of up to $1000.00 may be incurred if the smell of smoke is detected in the vehicle upon return. Smoke is an allergen and is irritating to many people.
7. NORTHERN SURCHARGE
Travel within Alaska, Yukon and Northwest Territories requires payment of $800.00 per rental Northern Surcharge. This is due to the high costs incurred when assisting customers in more remote or distant areas.
8. SUNDAY PICK-UP & DROP OFF SURCHARGE
Customers are free to pick-up and drop-off the rental vehicle on Sundays (see “Office Hours”). For pick-up on Sundays, there is a Sunday pick-up surcharge.
9. GENERATOR CHARGE
All Motorhomes are equipped with Generators. Cost per hour or portion thereof, if used is $5.00.
10. TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS/BRIDGE TOLLS
It is the client’s responsibility to report and pay for all traffic tickets, including parking tickets and Bridge tolls upon drop-off. Customer’s failure to report these infractions to Traveland RV Rentals may result in an administrative charge of up to $100.00 in addition to the cost of the fine and will be charged to the customer’s credit card after the motorhome rental has terminated, when notice has been received by Traveland of the offense.
Gasoline and diesel costs are the client’s responsibility. Tanks are received full and must be returned the same way. Service charges PLUS the cost of fuel for the missing amount is charged to the customer if the vehicle is returned with the gasoline or diesel tank not completely full. One free propane fill per rental is included. Propane tank does not have to be refilled upon return.
12. HOLDING TANKS/WASTE/CLEANUP
It is the client’s responsibility to return the vehicle with a cleaned interior and emptied sewage tank & waste water tank. Service charges apply if holding tanks are not completely empty upon return, or if interior is not cleaned. A fee of $40 per tank will be charged if holding tanks are not empty upon return.
Every motorhome is covered by $5 million public liability included in the daily rate. The collision deductible is $600 per incident.
The drivers must be 23 years of age or older (international drivers age 21 are permitted to rent motor homes up to 25 feet) and have a valid driver’s license from his or her origin. ONE additional driver is free of charge. Please check license validity before reserving the vehicle.
15. PICK-UP/DROP-OFF & TRANSFER SERVICE
Traveland provides morning pickup transfer service (by appointment only) from Airport and Downtown Hotels between 7:30am and 12:00pm (noon). Customers are requested to contact Traveland as soon as the transfer hotel is known and no later than one or two days prior to pick up day to arrange for the shuttle transfer. The evening before pick up day, a message is left at the hotel reception stating the time for the pick up transfer to Traveland RV Rentals on the next morning. If customers do not receive this message by the evening before pick-up, we suggest they call Traveland. Motorhome drop-off time must take place on assigned bases and is between 9:00am and latest 12:00pm (noon) on the last day (except Sundays: 11:00 am to 2:00 pm). The daily rental rate plus a penalty of $50.00 per hour will be charged for late returns.
Customer must provide voucher from Tour Operator/Agent for all prepaid services when they arrive at Traveland. If additional items/services are booked but not paid for in advance, clients must pay these prior to the start of their motorhome vacation.
Clients will receive a full comprehensive orientation of the motorhome at the time of pick-up in English or where requested: German. We will discuss client’s responsibilities, helpful tips and safety measures to be taken to fully enjoy use of the motorhome. The presentation takes approximately one hour, and a manual is provided in the event of a question that was not covered during this time. Clients can reach us during business hours via phone or after business hours, leave a voice message.

20. GROUP CANCELLATIONS and LONG TERM BOOKING CANCELLATIONS
Group-Bookings (if the entire group cancels) and / or Long-Term-Bookings (36 days or more)
The initial deposit paid is non-refundable. The following charge will be made for cancelled booking:

Cancellation charges are subject to HST tax.
To eliminate errors, all cancellations MUST be confirmed by our office. If you have not received a cancellation confirmation from us within 48 hours, please resend. If our office has not confirmed a cancellation in writing, it will be considered a “no show” on the pickup date with full cancellation charges applicable.
21. MINIMUM RENTAL TIME
Minimum rental period is seven (7) days for all seasons.
Since we take pride in the clean condition in which our vehicles leave, a fee of up to $250 will be charged if the vehicle is not returned with a clean interior.
Traveland RV Rentals makes every effort to provide customers with the model requested. Traveland does reserve the right, however, to substitute models of similar or larger size. If for any reason beyond our control the reserved motorhome is not available, we will offer a higher rated vehicle at no addition cost. Should a lower-rated motorhome be offered, our responsibility is limited to a refund of the difference of the two motorhomes.
PLEASE BE AWARE OF THIS SINCE AT TIMES THIS WILL AFFECT CLIENTS FERRY RESERVATIONS EITHER TO VANCOUVER ISLAND OR THE INSIDE PASSAGE.
• Travel to Hyder, Alaska is permitted without Northern Surcharge.
• Travel in Mexico is not permissible at any time; the vehicle is NOT insured for travel outside Canada and the U.S.A.
• Logging roads, other roads, dirt roads and other non-public roads may not be used with the motorhome, truck or Fifth Wheel at any time.
• Alaska/Yukon and North West Territories – Permitted ONLY with the additional Northern surcharge of $800.00.
• Travel on gravel roads is permitted as long as the road is marked as an access road to a Camp Ground, Provincial Park or National Park. Any gravel roads marked as 4X4, Forestry Roads or Logging Roads is not permitted at ANY TIME.
• Traveling through Death Valley, California is not permitted from May 1st to October 30th.
• Arizona – Traveling on Apache Trail east of Tortilla Flat to Roosevelt Dam is not permitted at ANY TIME.
• Burning Man: Travelling to desert festivals including “Burning Man” are not permitted at ANY TIME (fees of $1000.00 plus necessary cleaning and repair cost will apply)
• Beaches – Driving a motorhome on the beach is not permissible.
• Freezing – It is not permissible to have water in the tanks when temperatures are at freezing levels due to the possible damage to the fresh water and holding tanks and the water lines.
25. TRAVELING WITH CHILDREN
In BC there are guidelines as to child seats for younger children. Please always mention when young children are traveling, along with their age & weight, so Traveland can pre-reserve the appropriate child seats, to ensure they are available for rent if the clients desire. These can be prepaid by the clients when they arrive at the station. Traveland recommends you to bring your own child seats as taxi transfer services to and from station do not provide child seats/booster seats.
26. OFFICE HOURS
Monday to Saturday 8:30am – 4:00pm
Sunday and Statutory holiday 11:00am – 2:00pm
2017 Statutory Holidays are as follows: Jan. 1, Feb. 13, April 14, April 17, May 22, July 1, Aug. 7, Sept. 4, Oct. 9, Nov. 11, Dec. 25, Dec. 26.
Between November 1st and April 30th closed on Saturdays and Sundays
Traveland RV offers the newest RV rental fleet in British Columbia and is dedicated to outstanding customer service. At the same time, Traveland cannot guarantee the absence of inconvenience. Traveland does not refund for inconveniences.
Traveland RV will only consider refunds for the following costs:
1. As foreseen in the Vacation Interruption Insurance (see VIP Insurance on page 10)
2. Repairs explicitly authorized by Traveland stating a P.O. number (Receipts must be presented at drop-off).
3. Necessary costs up to 100.00 CAD for the replacement of broken or missing items which form part of the equipment of the motor-home/trailer/truck/5th wheel (Receipts must be presented at drop-off).
In case of mechanical breakdown or mechanical malfunction it is the customers’ responsibility to seek help at a repair-station and to bear related costs (except the costs for the repair itself under consideration of the insurance conditions and deductibles).
27. PAYMENTS OF INVOICES
Rental charges and other prepaid items must be received 35 days prior to the departure date. If not paid when due, Traveland RV Rentals has the right to cancel the reservation. Cancellation charges will apply. Seasons and charges are based on the dates and number of nights the motorhomes is being used.
Traveland RV Rentals reserves the right to change the payment conditions.
SUPPLIER DOES NOT ACCEPT DINERS CLUB – or AMERICAN EXPRESS CARDS (VISA and MASTERCARD are the only accepted credit cards).
Clients are responsible for checking oil and coolant levels. Oil and coolant refills and Traveland authorized repairs will be reimbursed at check-in upon presentation of receipts and any replaced parts. Clients should retain the parts or tires replaced by repair shop, unless repairs are done by Traveland.
Calgary Drop off / One way fee
Traveland has only one station, which is in Langley, BC. All vehicles are picked up at this station. However, for bookings of 12 rental nights or longer it is possible to drop off in Calgary (one way fee applies). At pick up Traveland provides customers with the address of the Best Western Hotel in Calgary, where they are expected to drop off the vehicle. Traveland's driver will meet them there by 12:00 pm / noon on drop off day to receive the RV. The current address is:

Currently there is a free shuttle service from this hotel to the airport. Apart from that, customers are expected to organise and pay for their “own” taxi for transportation, e.g. if they choose to stay in another hotel in Calgary. On very rare occasions, a rate may be displayed incorrectly due to our, or a vehicle supplier's error. In such a case, if you book with us at a quoted rate that is incorrect, we will notify you of any price change and give you the option to proceed or cancel. We make every effort to keep information on our site up to date, but we cannot guarantee this website is free of errors or omissions and retain the right to update or change the information published at any time.

When you pick up your vehicle, you will be required to sign a rental agreement with the supplier of the vehicle. Your rental and use of the vehicle will be governed by the terms of the rental agreement and any other documentation or information provided to you by the supplier at the time you pick up your vehicle. The rental agreement is between you and the supplier and we will not be liable to you or to any third party in relation to the terms of the supplier’s rental agreement or any other documentation provided to you by the supplier at the time of pick up.
While we will make reasonable efforts to ensure we are representing only reputable suppliers, we make no warranty about the fitness or suitability of any third party (supplier) product or service and will not accept responsibility for the quality or fitness of any vehicle. If you encounter issues with the vehicle whilst on hire, you MUST report these issues directly to the relevant supplier at the earliest possible time. This will allow the supplier to remedy any issues and minimise any inconvenience to you. If you fail to report any vehicle issues during your rental, it is likely that compensation will not be offered. We welcome feedback from our customers on their experience with our suppliers. We may, at our discretion, provide you with reasonable assistance in resolving any dispute you may have with a supplier.
Our total liability to you in relation to your use of this website and the information contained on this website will not exceed the dollar amount of the deposit we have received from you in relation to your booking/rental. Refunds will not be made for bookings cancelled due to inclement weather. Again, we strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance. Your use of this website is governed by the laws of New Zealand and the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
To make a booking you must complete our booking form which is easy to follow and secured with the latest encryption technology. Once we receive your form, we will, subject to availability, confirm your booking by emailing you a confirmation voucher and invoice. The deposit required to secure your vehicle (as shown on the secure booking page) will only be processed on your credit card when your booking is confirmed. Please note that a 1.95% credit card or debit card surcharge will be added when your payment is processed.
A booking is confirmed when you have been emailed a confirmation voucher and at this stage the deposit is processed on your card and becomes non-refundable and any cancellation fees stated in the supplier's terms apply. Upon receipt of your confirmation, please check your details carefully and notify us immediately if there are any incorrect details, as it may not be possible to make changes at a later date.
If you are booking via phone, please make sure you have read the terms and conditions of the vehicle you wish to rent first. Our reservations consultant will ask you if you have read the terms and agree to them before proceeding. The onus is always on the renter to ensure they make themselves fully aware of the terms displayed on our website.
In booking on this website you acknowledge that we disclose your information to your selected Supplier in order to provide the requested rental services.
Please note that some suppliers treat an amendment as a new booking and apply the rate current at the time the amendment is made to recalculate the entire booking amount (not just the days changed). If the rental period is increased, an additional deposit may be required. If the rental period is shortened which results in a reduction of the rental charges, the deposit amount will remain unchanged, and the difference between the original and revised deposit is forfeited (it cannot be used towards remaining rental charges). To request a change to a confirmed booking, please use the alterations request link on your confirmation. Any alterations are subject to availability and the approval of the supplier. In addition to the alteration policy of the supplier stated in their terms, the following charges will apply:

The alteration fee will not be charged if your alteration request is not possible.
Vehicle Capacity and fitness to drive
Under no circumstances are you permitted to carry more passengers than the vehicle you rent is legally registered to carry, and if you do your insurance may be invalidated. The number of seatbelts (and passengers) is indicated next to each vehicle on this website. Luggage capacity where shown is an indication only and we will not be responsible should you be unable to fit your entire luggage into a vehicle. It is your responsibility to choose a journey that is within your capabilities. A vehicle supplier can refuse to rent a vehicle to any person who is in their opinion unfit to drive or does not meet eligibility requirements. In such circumstances we will have no further liability to you.
We are committed to providing a quality service and aim for complete customer satisfaction. In the event of cancellation, any refunds or penalties are detailed in the terms and conditions of your selected vehicle that you are asked to read and accept at time of booking. In the event you are unsatisfied with our service, please contact us within 48 hours of placing your booking or request and we will work to resolve any issues and determine if compensation is due. In the event you have completed your rental and are unhappy with your vehicle, we are happy to assist you in seeking compensation from the operator of the vehicle.
